General Information:

Astronomically speaking, the equinox falls on March 19 or 20 every year, marking spring’s beginning in the Northern Hemisphere (whereas it announces fall’s arrival in the Southern Hemisphere). The equinox happens at the same moment worldwide, even if our clock times reflect a different time zone.

Meteorologically speaking, in the Northern Hemisphere, the official spring season always begins on March 1 and continues through May 31. Summer begins on June 1; autumn, September 1; and winter, December 1.

Weather scientists divide the year into quarters this way to make it easier to compare seasonal and monthly statistics from one year to the next. The meteorological seasons are based on annual temperature cycles rather than on the position of Earth in relation to the Sun, and they more closely follow the Gregorian calendar. Using the dates of the astronomical equinoxes and solstices for the seasons would present a statistical problem because these dates can vary slightly each year.

What is an Equinox?

At the Vernal Equinox, the Sun crosses the celestial equator on its way north along the ecliptic.
All over the world, days and nights are approximately equal. The name equinox comes from Latin words which mean “equal night”—aequus (equal) and nox (night).
On the equinox, Earth’s two hemispheres are receiving the Sun’s rays about equally because the tilt of the Earth is zero relative to the Sun, which means that Earth’s axis neither points toward nor away from the Sun. (Note, however, that the Earth never orbits upright, but is always tilted on its axis by about 23.5 degrees.)
Scientific explanation aside, our ancestors were more connected to the Sun than we are today. They observed its pathway across the sky; they tracked how the sunrise, sunset, and daylength changed, using the Sun (and Moon) as a clock and calendar. If you have ever been to Stonehenge or Machu Picchu, you’ll see examples of ancient seasonal markers.

Signs of the Equinox in Nature

The vernal equinox signals the beginning of nature’s renewal in the Northern Hemisphere!

As an Overtone or overview automatically an empowering vibration energy is Present, when it overlies the previous Moon cycle. You can empower yourself, others and projects. Be you! Show your beauty and strength of who you truly are!

There is an old Mayan legend about the Quetzal (Native peacock). There was an election under the animals of the jungle. The animal with the most unusual characteristics would be called to be King. Kukul, the quetzal, he wanted to be this King, but he also knew that as an ugly bird he would have no chance of being this. He therefore devises a deception to steal the feathers of another bird. Where the fourth Moon still was about what is real, this fifth Moon is much closer to magic; the tail of the peacock is so pretty and shiny that it almost did not seem real. Peacock therefore represents the magic of emotions.

The Quetzal bird of Central America ( Ket-zal) and the rattle snake shared the position of most reviewed creatures by the ancient Maya. The feathers of the iridescent Quetzal were used in Royal costume and ceremonial garb for kings and priests. The Quetzal symbolized the movement of Creation and the will of the Creator that come to earth. As the Serpent moves side to side on the ground, the Quetzal flaps and glides through the jungle. Breathe deeply through your nostrils and allow your awareness to flow up your nose and down into your heart chakra. Bring your awareness to the inner Silio plasma at the center of the chakra. Visualize the white symbol radiating luminous streams of white light.

Feel the Silio plasma gathered in the heart chakra discharging waves of unconditional love throughout the planet. Within this spiritual heart energy feel the mental electron-neutron charge telepathically in resonance with the center of the Earth.

Repeat the following while focusing on your heart chakra: “My role is to accomplish the actions of the Buddha, I discharge the mental electron-neutron at the center of the Earth.” The Buddha is the enlightened mind. This potential exists in all beings. It is also known as the bodhichitta, or mind of enlightenment.

Cover your left nostril with your left thumb and breathe deeply three times in and out through your right nostril. Flash onto the Silio plasma and feel the new world of higher spiritual emotions vibrating and emanating out of the heart chakra. Now cover your right nostril with your right thumb and repeat the three breaths. Focus all of your attention to your heart chakra, Silio plasma, and draw in with your breath the new enlightened reality—then release, breathing pure love through your heart chakra into the world, emanating stabilizing vibrations to the astral and emotional body, soothing the rest of the chakras.
