General Information:

Galactic means: related to the Galaxy, the Milky Way. The Mayans see our lives here on Earth in the greater pattern of our solar system and our relationship with the cosmos.

While we believe that the sun rises in the east and then goes to the south than through the west where it sets, the Mayans always knew that the Earth itself rotates counterclockwise, and therefore it seems that the sun moves clockwise. It is as if they could view the entire galaxy from above. That is how their calendar is arranged or aligned.

They knew what we only recently know, we as Earth turn not just to our own axis (24 hours) and in one year around the Sun, but we also rotate with the Sun 26,000 years around the Central Sun of the Pleiades; around Alcyone. The Mayans call this the Great Cycle. Our relationship with the Milky Way includes for them the reality of everyday life. The 260-day Tzolkin is again a fractal of the Great Cycle.

This period reminds us that our Galactic Wholeness is found by learning how to Harmonize. These specific code words are important to deeply contemplate, meditate upon, and internally investigate, as they are meant to trigger meaning and relevance for our personal lives, while also offering universal teachings of Nature’s core principles. As we follow these clues they guide us to encounter the powers held by this Tone 8 of Creation governing this Month of the Hawk!

 

Do I live what I believe?

In the previous Moon, you have attuned and aligned with the Great Spirit and the environment around you. This Moon is the time to really make sure you adjust your subsequent actions, to stand in harmony with your word and deed with the Great Spirit. The form and content are consistent with each other, you’re of integrity. To do this you have to look at life from a overall view, like a hawk in flight.

 

Tone 8 – Modelling

In the cycle of 4 (red, white, blue and yellow) is Tone 8 the empowerment of action in the resonance of Tone 4. “Modelling” is the power of “measurement and defining”; what can only by Tone 4 be shown, is now brought into a model.

Additionally, harmonization requires not compromise, but pliability – willingness to bend, to meet others, to let go of personal attachments for the greater good. As we each uniquely stand as conduits of Harmony, we act as mutual role-models for one another, inspiring the establishment of Galactic Culture; actualizing the harmonious potential of our global society!

Tone 8, the Galactic Tone of integrity symbolizes harmony between the words, thoughts and actions – between deeds and the high reality, reinforcing loyalty to ourselves.

Tone 8 reminds us that the most effective way to inspire positive change in the world is to live by example, showing our communities what is possible by embodying and modeling our deepest values and ideals.

The Galactic Tone calls us to acknowledge that our Earth is a sentient member of a Galactic Whole.

The cycles and codes of the Mayan calendar are meant to entrain us with galactic harmonies of natural time so that we can become increasingly in sync with our highest creative potential as evolving beings.

Part of the mission of the people who utilize this calendar around the world is to generate “Galactic Culture” which Earth as an evolving member of a conscious, galactic community.

The intelligence of the galactic order can reveal itself in infinite ways, from overt communication such as, to subtle pulses of intelligence or knowing that we might recognize as an inner muse that catalyzes our artistic potential and consciousness to flower.

This calendar system teaches us that to be Galactic is to Harmonize. Nature is Galactic. Earth is Galactic. We are Galactic Citizens!

The shrill cry of the Hawk penetrates your sub consciousness and asks you to go within in search of the truth. Totem Animal Deer

The deer was very important in the Mayan culture. The thunder God “Thil” appeared in the form of a white deer and brought the masculine creation and procreation force; the activating aspect of this Moon. The moon goddess Ixchel as red deer. The feminine deer is symbolic for surrender, receive/conception and unconscious forces.

The comparison in English between deer and dear is not for nothing. The Lunar Moon of Challenge resonates with the totem animal Scorpion – Transformation, Defensiveness/Protection and Passion/Isolation

Stabilize, polarize, challenge

In the yearly Tzolkin Wave spell, the process of 13 steps flows via the First Moon where you have set your goal. With the second moon you take a look at what takes you away from your goal; what is the challenge? Which obstacles lie on your path? The second step stabilizes the positive energy of enthusiasm with starting a new project. Do not let yourself be lead astray to go into action to clear the obstacles. That will come later on. Gather first all the material.

Be honest in recognising your limitations to overcome them and embrace them.

You can experience this in various ways. Most often we strive towards the one side (light) and wish to stay away from the other (shadow). But this is the aspect of yourself where you want to turn away from, although it sets you into uplifting flow. This is where your motivation for movement comes from, it gives energy. It is looking at your shadow where your soul grows and develops! This stimulates and is the challenge.

This asks us to look at the other side with Loving resonance; the shadow, it sets it into motion. Embrace your shadow.

Totem Animal Scorpion

Scorpion sheds her exoskeleton several times in her life.  The medicine in this is that of death/rebirth/transformation.  By doing this she is asking you to take a look at the things and people in your life that no longer serve you.  Scorpion has multiple eyes so evaluate your surroundings with a critical eye.  Release your old baggage, let go of objects that clutter your space/home and purge the negative energy of those who are co-dependent on you and to whom you enable.  Focus on your purge so that you can take you own steps forward with clear decisions for what you want for your life.

Scorpion’s physical appearance shows the medicine of defensiveness and/or protection.  Her exoskeleton is a symbol for self protection while her pincers and tail are used for defense of herself and her offspring when she gives birth.  She is teaching that it is important to have your barriers/boundaries up if you want to survive, but you also need to learn when to let them down.  Sometimes being vulnerable is necessary and learning to balance when to guard and when to let down your guard is a balancing act.  Use your pincers for control/keeping “predators” at a distance, but more importantly they are a reminder for the use of self-control so that you stay on your path.  The tail signifies the ability to strike with your full potential when the time is right.

Scorpion is usually a solitary animal but when it comes time for mating they do a passionate/elaborate “dance” but when they have completed their ritual they go their separate ways.  This symbolizes the nature or cycles of relationships and how important it is to not be overly attached to people who come into your life.  There is a reason/lesson for you to learn from that relationship.  Sometimes they leave so that something new/better/exciting/different can enter.  She is also showing you that you need to be content with being alone, which means you need to learn to accept and love yourself.  Do you balance your relationships with periods of solitude?  It is also important to control your passions.  Controlling your passions/desires allows you to direct your energy appropriately and it will determine whether your transformations will occur in the midst of calmness or chaos.  Do you allow your passions to override your common sense?
